You will be fetched from the airport today and taken to N/a’anku se Lodge, where you will spend your evening in stunning thatch bungalows with en-suite facilities. At midday you will have the chance to join the Ancient San Skills activity tour where you will learn about the bushman community – the cultural group who survived over thousands of years living in the bush. Shortly before Dinner your guide will brief you on the Tour. We spend the night in twin share bungalows with en-suite facilities.
This morning is an early rise at N/a’anku se lodge where we receive breakfast packs and transfer back into Windhoek city before travelling North. We make a short stop at Otjiwarongo for a light lunch before entering Etosha National Park via the Anderson Gate. We spend our day game driving through the Park and paying visits to waterholes in search of predators and animals such as zebra, giraffe, elephant and rhino. We reach our accommodation situated inside of Etosha National Park just before the sun sets. There is a beautiful floodlit waterhole that neighbours the camp. We spend the evening in twin shared double rooms with en-suite bathroom facilities. We then indulge in a delicious supper and get an early night’s rest for the day ahead.
We awake early today for a light snack before the sun rises and then embark on a game drive until mid morning for breakfast before we embark on another game drive. that will take us to Halali for a picnic lunch. Then it is off to the breathtaking wildlife of Etosha National Park in search of the Big 4.
We reach Okaukuejo in the early evening and depart from the Park just before sunset, paying one last visit to a waterhole to admire the incredible African sunset. We spend the night in twin share permanent tents with en-suite bathroom facilities, situated just outside of the Park. Supper tonight will be cooked over the campfire where you can exchange stories with fellow travellers of your wildlife encounters.
We have an early breakfast today and leave our lodge at 07h40 for our journey through the communal plains of Damaraland (Kunene Region). We make a stopover at the Ugab River Bridge to pay a visit to the stunning Herero women who sell their lovely artworks in order to support their families. We enjoy lunch in the Brandberg Mountain’s shadow and pay a brief visit to the Himba Tribe who have migrated to this region in order to sell their craft items. Following a hearty lunch we make our way through the Namib Desert and make a stopover at the latest shipwreck on the Skeleton Coast before reachingSwakopmundin the early evening. Exploring this coastal town on foot at midday is a wonderful way to spend the afternoon and you are encouraged to visit the jetty for sundowners overlooking the cold Atlantic Ocean. In the evening you can visit one of the lovely local restaurants for a delicious dinner (own expense).
Following breakfast, we encourage you to pay a visit to the museum or aquarium, or for those seeking more of a thrill, a two hour sand boarding ride down the dunes is recommended. We leave Swakopmund in the afternoon and travel through the Namib Desert through the Kuiseb Canyon and Solitaire. We reach our camp in the early evening, when we will have time to unwind and bask in our gorgeous surroundings before embarking on a brief sunset walk that provides incredible vistas of the Naukluft mountain range. We spend the night in twin rooms or permanent tents that are equipped with en-suite bathroom facilities. Dinner will be prepared for you by your by the lodge.
Today we leave early to reach the Park’s gate by sunrise. We then travel down an old river bed encircled by enormous sand dunes and climb aboard 4X4 shuttles to be transferred into Sossusvlei. Here we can fully appreciate the splendour of this area, especially in the early hours of the morning, as well as bask in the quiet serenity surrounding us. We traverse this incredible region on foot before making our way into Deadvlei, comprised of an abundance of whitened and cracked clay and bare camel thorn trees that are in harsh contrast to the setting of the massive dunes with their constantly changing colours. As we head back to our campsite, we make a stopover at the renowned Dune 45 where we have a chance to either hike up the dune or simply roam around its base.
We then make our way back to Sesriem and pay a visit to the nearby Sesriem Canyon, one of the limited permanent water sources before reaching our lodging in the early evening to witness the spectacular sunset over the vast desert. We spend our evening in twin share rooms or permanent tents with en-suite bathrooms.
After breakfast this morning we make our way to Solitaire Guest Farm where a biologist will teach us how to track wild cheetahs at the Namib Conservation Centre. We head back to Windhoek the Naukluft Mountains and Rehoboth. You will reach Windhoek mid afternoon where you will be dropped off at your accommodation or taken to the airport.
